So I bought this eyelash fur because I have to make a furry hat with animal ears and I'm having trouble with it. At first I that since it was machine washable I could put water on it and slim it down but sadly it doesn't slim down. I'm sure you guys out there have tips for working with this yarn or could at least look some up.

I'm just looking for tips in general
You haven't told us exactly what trouble you are having.
The only thing I can think of is that you are using too fine a needle which would mean the yarn is difficult to pull thru the loops. Eyelash yarn(or any textured yarn) needs big holes to show off the fur. The ball band usually suggests what size needle you should use with your chosen yarn. Use that size or larger.
