Wind Wool
Posted on Friday, May 14th, 2010 at 3:44 pmCheap clothing to wear while cycling during the winter?
I'm just wondering what type of comfortable clothing i could get for bicycling through the cold winter this year.I need to keep it cheap,I thought about getting some wind-breakers- long johns- wool socks.I'm just not sure any advice would be nice thanks.
I've been riding in the winter for 10 years in Minnesota. You don't need expensive clothes. Many of those years I didn't even own a winter coat. All you need is layers. Long johns are good. Wool ones are even better! Mostly I just buy a lot of long sleeve thrift store shirts. Something to cover your face is a must. Whether it's a scarf, face mask, or whatever... you gotta keep your face covered when it gets really cold. I wear military boots and socks. I only wear wool socks when it gets REALLY cold.
