Yarn Varigated

Posted in Yarn | No Comments »

I am looking for a chart showing what colors yarn go together, especially the varigated ones.?

for instance, varigated and solid colors.

Colors go together when they compliment or contrast.
The basic color wheel is red blue and yellow. Every other color is a combination of those three...red and yellow make orange blue and yellow make green and red and blue make purple. Everything else is those three colors combined with white to lighten, black to darken. Black and white are not colors as they are the absence of all color and the presence of all color.
Even brown comes from mixing red and green, then add white for beige, and on.....
now if your wheel goes red orange yellow green blue and purple in a circle then hyou know what goes together opposites go together because they compliment each other you know, opposites attract. Dark red goes with light red (pink) because they are the same.... Variegated colors are best when you vary through one color to white then back again, that way you can look at it and say green variegated goes with red variegated because they are opposite on the color wheel.
spend time at the yarn shop and look at the colors in natural light, You know which colors really go together best? The ones YOU like.
