why is racism in sports common? if you answer, please add about a conversation of details, its for homework?

i have a project where i describe racism in sort of an oral report, and my topic is Jim crow laws, supposed to be blended with sports.I'm clueless! I need a little help. what suggestions do you guys have?

i played alot of hockey in my day and received and delivered some quality trash talk. thats about it you try to aggravate or enrage you opponent because when you get angry think irrationally making you (for lack of better term) dumber. dumb irrational opponents do stupid things making them easier to beat. check out this video it explains this further
