How to accessorize a gold (non-metallic) cocktail dress for a summer wedding?

I have a yellow-gold non-metallic Calvin Klein dress that I bought for an July after-noon wedding (semi-formal).

Is there anything else than black that I could use for shoes and purse?

Yellow's complimentary color is purple, so I would try playing around with purple or even purplish red colors.
