I bought a beautiful white sweater knit and after I put in the wash, my jeans dyed blue. How long can I leave it in the bleach before the pass is lost son? (Should it be destroyed?)
I strongly recommend that you do not soak the sweater in bleach ... or use a color remover. Both can damage clothing. What you have is called "color bleed", and it is very easy to correct. Just wash the shirt again by itself. Use Regular laundry detergent. If you OxiClean on hand, add a tablespoon or two of that too. This alone will fix the problem. You may have to Wash the sweater twice, but a second washing is rarely necessary. No need for fixed labor or caustic chemicals. You just wash will solve the problem. -
