Pima Wool
Posted in Yarn | No Comments »How do I wash these clothes?
I just bought all of these Ralph Lauren sweaters?
1) A black v-neck that is 100% pima cotton.
2) A green, black and pink 32% wool, 31% viscose, 17% nylon, 11% cashmere, and 9% angora sweaters.
3) a peach 100% cotton sweater.
They say to wash by hand in cold water but I have no place to wash them by hand since I'm in college.
I was thinking 1 and 3 on the gentle cycle and 2 on the wools setting, but I could really use some help from those Moms out there. Thanks
#2 sounds pretty complicated. I would take it to the dry cleaners occasionally to be on the safe side. If the sweater isn't really dirty but starts to smell like BO, try hanging it outside on a sunny day to air it out.
#1 and #3 can be washed in the machine on the gentle cycle but if you're using a laundromat whose machines don't have a gentle cycle, try putting them in a mesh bag. Definitely use cold water and Woollite (or something similar to Woollite -- although Woollite is the best IMO). Do not put sweaters in dryer -- lay them out flat as best you can.
