Hi! (:
Will treating with aquarium salt only kill off cotton fungus?
How much salt should I add? Per gallon, I don;t get the salinity percentages.
It is 55 gallons, and contains 4 black skirt tetras, 2 pearl gouramis, and 2 dwarf gouramis. The tetras seem to be the only ones inflicted as of now. It is in their gill area, fins, and in one in his mouth. I don;t know if that helps any. Last night it wasn;t too bad, but tonight the one has it in his mouth and isnt eating.

Salt doesn't kill fungal infections in aquaria. It only helps with certain types of parasites. In fact adding salt to your tank would stress out your tetras. I suggest you go to your local fish shop and get some fungal medication. There is a myriad of meds you can chose from all more effective than salt.
