How can I keep my scalp from itching/burning?

I'm african american, with VERY thick, textured, shoulder length, hair. I get it done every week, if not twice. I am rather OCD, so if I do go awhile without getting it done, I have to wash it, it's also relaxed once a month(if not it is uncontrollable). I keep my scalp oiled and I spray upwards of seven times a day, but to no avail. It has driven me to tears at times, because after awhile it feels like it's on fire. I've used numerous high dollar products, and right now I am using Luster's Pink Lotion/Oil Sheen Spray, Carols' Daughter Hair Mimosa, Motions Shampoo, and Carols Daughter Black Vanilla Leave in conditioner, and various proclaim products, and Cibu hair shine and Cibu flat iron conditioner.

Rubbing alcohol is so not the answer you're looking for here.
I have the same type of hair and i used to get it relaxed all the time. i found that if i wore my hair up in the same week or the week after i got it relaxed my head felt like it was on fire. so try to stay away from that first of all.
also i have discovered one of the only things that helps ME personally.
Dove has a new conditioner called Hair lotion. heres what it looks like. even walmart carries it.

its incredible. it stopped my constant itching and the burn. i strongly recommend you try it! If that doesnt work i suggest a doctor. medication may actually be the only thing for you.
