Ribbons or Medals? What's the standard for dress blues to be worn by the groom for the wedding?

I'm sorry if my question's not well put. But ok, I want to ask which should be displayed on the groom's Navy Dress Blues uniform for a wedding. All medals? All ribbons? Or both, since sometimes some awards don't have both a medal and a ribbon to represent them.

I would go with medals. The Bluejackets Manual reads that you wear medals on the side you usually wear the ribbons. The ribbons that do not have medals you wear on the other side. Also, go to your nearest Navy Exchange and look into having your medals mounted. They look much better. It is pretty pricey, though and could take awhile depending on how big the NEX is. But it does look much better. Also, there is a uniform that is not issued to you called "Dinner Dress" You would have to check it out in the Bluejackets manual and ask at the uniform shop in the NEX. It consists of a coat with tails, cumberbun, the whole works. I think it is really expensive, too.
