Cotton Acrylic

I finally found a really cute cardigan that I like, but my mom says I should return it because it'll shrink in the dryer :/
Also.. any tips on washing care, how to take care of it so it lasts, etc?

It is not recommended to put acrylic clothing in the dryer. They will shrink and the fabric will clump up in little lumps all over the cardigan, You can hand wash or wash on gentle cycle in the washing machine and hang dry the garment.
