I saw a ? about this last night, and today on facebook I saw my cousin's little girl in one. She was born extremely premature and is very tiny still only 5 pounds and this bow looked like a pom pom on her head. Very awkward looking but then people started responding how cute it is and showing links of their girls bows and it was comical... like carmen miranda with her fruit hat.... when I was in school the shoe lace bows were in style but very small.... or a string of yarn on your pig tails.. not 10 yards of psychodelic ribbon..
Do you buy those bows for your girls? Do they like wearing them?

Of _course_ I velcro-ed a bow I pulled off a Christmas present to my newborn's head! She was a girl but she was an infant so lacked the appropriate displays to make that clear, and if I didn't do something to signify her gender people might think _I_ was some sort of _queer_ or something. Gawd.
