Acrylic Soft

I got tips on my nails and waited a month and a half to get them off. They were all grown out and were some what loose. The guy at the nail place shove another acrylic nail under mine to remove them. It hurt. They were really thin and hurt a lot. Unfortunately like 5 days later i got them put on again for a pageant. The lady told me that my nails were too soft and they might fall off. Well they didn't and i kept them on for only 3 weeks. I was hoping they would soak them in acetone. But they didn't. The shoved them off with the acrylic nail. OMG ! It hurt SOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. My nails are really thin and soft. They still hurt and they super red.
What can i do to help them grow stronger and thicker? Is there any technique or something? I'm not getting acrylics again for long time !
Your nails needs rest and oxygen so yes, dont use acrylics for some time, also dont use heavy nail varnish (laquer) as this can also deprive the nail of oxygen.
Try not to soak them (so avoid baths, have showers) so that they dont become soft and succeptible to tears, breaks. You can get a good nail hardener from any chemist. Apply two coats. Buy a nail varnish remover that is ACETONE FREE (acetone is the ingredient that makes it evaporate quickly and is also very abbrasive to damaged nails) Also use almond oil (really cheap) to rub into your cuticles every two days and get a hand cream. This shouldn't be expensive at all. It will take time (2wks) for your nails to get back to normal as nails growth cycle is quite slow
